Plainview Milk Products Cooperative of Minnesota issued a recall of two years' worth of dairy products because of possible salmonella contamination.

The recalled products consist of:

1. Instant nonfat dried milk;

2. Whey protein;

3. Fruit stabilizers; and

4. Gums (used as a stabilizer).

Officials from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) discovered salmonella in 100 g pouches of powder carrying the Dairyshake brand. The contaminated product was not available at the retail level.

Once the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspected the facility, they found salmonella-tainted machines at the plant.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports no illnesses so far.
